Welcome to the Kingdom of Fife in Scotland
Set within a 120 acre estate of woods, streams, parklands and two ornamental lakes, Pitcairlie is a 16th century castle offering luxury self catering holiday cottage accommodation near St
Andrews in Fife, Scotland.
There are four self catering holiday apartments within the mansion and the original lodge house provides one further holiday cottage, all with use of our swimming pool. The grounds are
home to a variety of wildlife, magnificent trees and wildflowers, parklands grazed by Highland cattle, sheep, horses and a donkey. This lovely rural location is on the Perthshire / Fife border,
two miles from Auchtermuchty. Just six miles away is the historic, medieval village of Falkland, home to Falkland Palace, a royal hunting lodge with connections to Mary Queen of Scots.
This central Scottish location is ideal for a self catering cottage style holiday, with rambling, hillwalking and exploring the East Neuk of Fife, with its sandy beaches and picturesque fishing
villages all at hand. For golfers, there are many excellent golf courses within easy reach, including the Old Course in St Andrews and Carnoustie in Tayside. St Andrews is an ancient university
town, famous the world over as the home of golf. From Pitcairlie, the M9 is near at hand, allowing easy access to Edinburgh and the south, as well as north to Perth and the Scottish Highlands.
Besides our holiday apartments and holiday cottage, we now offer Pitcairlie as a very special, historic venue for weddings, corporate events and hospitality.
It also provides an atmospheric and traditionally Scottish venue for film shoots of all kinds, including product and fashion shoots.
